This Is Grime Volume 2 (Release Information)





















The first volume of 'This Is UK Grime' was such a big CD which included all the new songs ranging from Too Many Man by Boy Better Know, or Slang Like This which is by P Money. It was a CD which had hard lyrics, and catchy hooks. Volume 1 was on two CDs which also included songs which were in the Itunes Hip Hop/Grime Top 100 for over 10 months.

They have a new CD coming up which is a follow up of Volume 1 which is called 'This Is Grime Volume 2'. This time it is different, because there is a theme. Basically, this theme is a mix of both Old School, and New School songs.

If you do not know about Grime here is a description about it : Grime is a fairy new genre which came out in the early 2000's which evolved from the genre Garage. It was a genre which was born in East London that brought a lot of hype, fast, Grimey Music. It has moved all around London, then all around of the UK. It is now a worldwide genre where people from Australia, Czech Republic, Canada, and many other countries which listen to Grime. However, there has been many losses to the Grime scene which emcees such as Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Chipmunk, Skepta, and more being signed to commercial labels.

This Is Grime Volume 2 has a carefully selected track listing featuring an abundance of mainstream acts including, Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32, Tinchy Stryder, Wiley, Lethal Bizzle, Skepta and Chipmunk alongside as the core of the hottest names currently making waves on the underground in 2011/12 such as Scorcher, Kozzie, D Double E, Marger, and Scrufizzer to name just a few.

Both CD’s are far from one dimensional and truly document the growth and development of the scene, from the Old school to the New school CD. The blend of commercial and underground music, provides the listener with a key to the streets and is the only compilation you need to buy this year!
